Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue is one of the first big major makeup purchases I have ever made. As someone who was never really into the whole makeup thing in school, starting at the age of 25, I feel like I am a little behind in the whole beauty business.

I had a friend who won a free makeup tester day at Debenhams back last year when I got this product. The ladies who were working on the section were lovely and really helped me get a great look, whilst giving me pointers for the future. They filled out a 'Make Under Card' with all the products and colours they used, along with prices which were super helpful.

Of course being my first major makeup experience I thought I would at least get one product from the whole thing. As I already had a primer that I had bought months before, and not wanting to get a bunch of items I wouldn't use, I settled on the Complexion Rescue. It is apparently useful to use not just under your everyday makeup, foundation etc, but you could also use it as a foundation.

As someone who doesn't spend hours getting ready in the morning I thought perfect! Something I can use almost everyday without all the hassle of put layers upon layers on my face.

I have to say this is the BEST purchase I have ever made in regards to foundations. I have tried a bunch of 'drug-store' foundations in the past, again because I honestly didn't want to invest in something I would either never use, or just wasn't that interested in.

I use this mostly on it's own, and it matches my skin REALLY well. It's a nice consistenecy and it doesn't feel heavy on my skin, which is awesome. I don't have to use very much, and they were right. I can just use it as a foundation. When I am in the mood for doing more with my face, I tend to put this on top of primer, and it works really well and lasts all day thankfully. I was a little dubious as to whether it was a name/brand or actually work sort of price and hype, and to be honest. I think it was definitely worth the money that I spent on it. (Well my boyfriend was kind enough to purchase for me).

So there are a great few things about this little item, and to be honest £26 isn't a bad price range either for it. Now I don't wear it EVERYDAY, just because I honestly don't have the energy or time to do it. But it has lasted me almost a year, and it's still sort of going. But I know I'll have to pick another one up when it does decide to squirt it's last little blob of cream.

Pros:

Feels nice

Not a bad price at £26 at Debenhams

It lasts a long time, as you don't need to use very much of it

Matches my skin

No allergic reactions

Cute packaging

Fits in your makeup bag

Great for makeup beginners like myself

SPF 20! :D

Cons: Can't seem to find it anywhere other than my local Debenhams.

So this is my first little post. Not sure how well it's gone... But I hope it helps some of you out there! :D Bye for now! ;)
